New Testament

Catholics, Protestants, and all other Christian related theologies. A theology of the giving up of the self and placing all faith in Jesus. They say "Jesus loves you" but they also say that if you don't accept him as your personal savior, you will burn in hell for all eternity. Matthew 5:17-20 says that the Old Testament covenant must still be followed.

Old Testament

A theology where God has singled out a certain tribe (the Jews) as His "chosen people" and given them a covenant (set of laws) to live by. The God of the Old Testament is sometimes loving but also sometimes jealous and angry. The stated penalty for preaching alternative religions is death.

Qur'an and hadith

God is Great. Muhammad is the true prophet. Afterlife of heaven or hell. Muslims rewarded in heaven with virgins. Some interpretations of the Sharia (Islamic law) say that any insult to Muhammad warrants death. Cartoonists beware!!!
